Hey, I'm Gabs!
My creative journey began with dirt and good company, sculpting beside my dad and falling in love with clay early on.
Over the years I've built a whole parallel world out of clay: functional vessels that sprout worms, fingers, teeth, and little creatures that look back at you. Each piece is its own strange ecosystem, shaped by a love of the unusual and the belief that there's real comfort in the things that make us a little uncomfortable.
Teaching ceramics has been the best part of all of it, like pulling people into the studio to share the fun, the failures, the freaks that come out of the kiln, and the magic of shaping something with your own hands. Through this course, I want to help you trust your own weird, chase the ideas that hit like a flash of lightning, and make pieces that feel as alive and personal as the creatures I can't stop building.

The course has 6 modules for 6+ hours of learning and practicing. It also includes full-length ceramic sculpting tutorials! You can pause and replay the videos as much as you want. The course is suitable for everyone: teens, adults and children. It would be best to take the course in order, because it progresses from the basics to more advanced lessons.Â

Introduction
This is all about getting you settled in and ready to roll. Think of these as our low-key kickoff where we’ll get to know each other, talk about the course goals, and cover all the essentials like the gear you’ll need. We’ve even got a spot for you to pop into our Discord channel if you have any questions along the way; it's going to be a blast!
Module 2
Basics of Ceramics
This is where we roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty! This module walks you through everything you need to know to get started, from getting familiar with your tools and mastering essential techniques to smoothing, shaping, and even saving your scraps. It’s all about building your confidence and your pieces!
Module 3
Specific Exercises
This is where your creations really come to life. We’ll dive into all the cool stuff like crafting those unique features, getting your structural details just right, and adding all the personality that makes your creatures yours. It’s all about getting creative and having a blast with the process!
Module 4
Sculpture pt. 1
This is where we take everything we’ve learned and start physically building! From prepping your drawings and getting your workspace in order, to actually constructing and hollowing out those legs, it’s all about turning your vision into a reality. It’s an exciting step in the process.
Module 5
Sculpture pt. 2
This is all about building on your momentum! We’ll tackle the torso and arms, covering everything from shaping and detailing to connecting those limbs and giving your monster its final look. It’s a great chance to refine your technique and really see your sculpture come together.Â
Module 6
Firing & Preserving
This is where we take your hard work across the finish line. We’ll walk through the final steps of drying and underglazing, then dive into the crucial stuff like firing, safe handling, and even some tips on glazing. Once you’ve wrapped up the technical side, you’ll be ready for that certificate!
